Through Medjugorje, in Bosnia-Hercegovina, Our Lady, the Queen of Peace, has provided a way to achieve true peace in life. The means are contained in the messages conveyed to six local visionaries for over 25 years. Involved is the commitment to faith, prayer, penance, fasting and conversion. Our Lady has stated: "I present myself here as Queen of Peace, to tell the world that peace is necessary for the salvation of the world". "In God is found true joy from which true peace flows". Again she says "Only in God is there true peace".
Our Lady's messages continue to this day. Our Lady has stated, however, that Medjugorje will be her last appearance on earth. The visionaries have been entrusted each with nine or ten secrets regarding future events, to be released at a time of Our Lady's choosing. Some of these concern the whole world. Whatever might be the scenarios involved in these secrets, the timely achievement of true peace, should be for all, a paramount aim in life.
Pope John Paul II referred informally to Medjugorje as "the spiritual heart of the world". Some suggest it is where heaven meets earth. The Vatican has naturally needed to adopt a very cautious approach before approving these apparitions as supernatural.
It is hoped that those visiting this site, might be more informed on Medjugorje, and perhaps, in some way, be touched by Our Lady's messages to her children. Her key message is peace: "yearn for peace and seek it, for God is true peace". Peace can be the Medjugorje experience, even without a personal pilgrimage. Life's other concerns will then tend to fade in importance.

Our Lady's message to the world, 25th March, 2007. (official English translation). "Dear children! I desire to thank you from my heart for your Lenten renunciations. I desire to inspire you to continue to live fasting with an open heart. By fasting and renunciation, little children, you will be stronger in faith. In God you will find true peace through daily prayer. I am with you and I am not tired. I desire to take you all with me to Heaven, therefore, decide daily for holiness. Thank you for having responded to my call."
